Hangry /ˈhaNGɡrē/ adj

Chickpea /ˈCHikˌpē/ n

- my favorite bean, featured in falafel, hummus, many stews, and of course, as a stand alone snack
I'm going to be honest - I'm having a quarter-life crisis. So I started this food blog to tap into my ~creative~ side.
One of the most difficult things about transitioning to a plant-based diet is finding places you can go out to eat with friends and family. And I know all too well that not every friend or family member wants to go to the places with only plant based food.
Why plant-based you ask? Well, one of my main goals in life is to do something that helps the planet. For me, eating plants is an easy change that makes a difference.
Spoiler alert: I'm not perfect. Some would call me a "flexi-vegan," but I don't think that gives me enough credit. I'm a 95% vegan, because sometimes a girl just needs a poached egg on her avocado toast, or a small slice of roast beef on Christmas Day. So sue me.
You can look forward to reading (and looking at) all of my favorite plant-based things. Namely, expect many photos and stories about veganized burgers, tacos, chocolate chip cookies, and ice-cream in Miami, and much more. I eat and post, you read and comment, rinse, and repeat.
We're going to be great friends, I can already tell.
