Macadamia Nut Butter in a jar with macadamia nuts sprinkled on top and on the table.

Macadamia Nut Butter

Angela Milnes
This mac nut butter is rich, crunchy, and sweet. Perfect for topping smoothie bowls or ice cream, adding to toast, or eating by the spoonful (guilty).

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Raw Macadamia nuts use roasted unsalted if you can’t find raw, and skip the roasting step
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 TBS Sweetener - I used orange blossom honey* but you can totally use maple syrup or agave with some orange or citrus zest.

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to high-speed blender or food processor, and blend on low. Scrape down the edges as needed. You’re looking for pieces the size of grits – not totally pulverized, but still small little nutty pieces.
  • If your nut butter isn’t coming together, add more sweetener. I suggest starting with less sweetener than you think, and then adding as needed.

Notes

*Note that honey is not technically vegan, as it is an animal product. Feel free to substitute if you'd prefer to avoid.
